Baywood Green 2/21/09:  Great round and congratulations to Flat Head, Cat Fish and Dom.  The commissioner is still in a slump along with a few others.  Take advantage while you can, we will be back.  Tom :)

Heritage Shores Club 2/29/09:  Another Great Round!!!.  Congratulations to Rob T (how much was that)?. Clubhouse Pro (Joe Glavick), great host.  All agree, must play again.  Course was in great condition with challenging greens.  Special package $25 with cart, WOW!!! Carts included ball and club wash along with cooler (cat fish requirement).  Perks included scorecard first round fees at club house (do not tell untill second round).  Scores:  Tom G. 90 (Restaurant Fee), Dom 92, Dale 100 (great birdie), Tom 102, Cat fish 105, Walt 107, Jerry 110 (thank you for the money), Rob 120. Please visit heritageshoresgolf.com for additional information or Email me at Tomanddenise@verizon.net. Tom

Johathan's Landing 3/7/09: Beautiful day for golf, temperatures in the seventies, thermal wear was off and we could actually swing the club.  Spring is around the corner!!! Craig Coffield (director of golf) and Jeff Rea (Course Superintendent) performed miracles after heavy snow earlier in the week. Tee boxes were forward creating exciting low score opportunities for the long drivers (author not included) particularly on the third and twelfth hole (great birdies Dom, Dale, Keith, and Flat Head who was on fire). Dom, Its a beautiful thing, and Flat head continue on the quest to sub par golf along with new comer Tom H.  Its a beautiful thing and Cat Fish made a good run on the back nine with signs of genius by the commissioner and Dale. I believe this course is under rated and encourage golfers of all skill levels to give it try.  Note, we played an additional nine holes for only $15 each. Tell them the Commissioner sent you from Chesapeakegolfandleasure.com.   Please visit www.jonathanslandinggolf.com for additional information.  Scores: Dom 77, Dale 93, Author 94, Tom H 90, Commissioner 103, Flat Head 84, It a Beautiful Thing 82, Cat Fish 94. Tom

Return to Heritage Shores Club 3/14/09:  Golf for $25 all you can play, whew 27 holes. Joe Glavick and his team did another great job of preparing the course and making our round wonderful.  The course is beginning to mature and I suspect will soon be tauted as a premere Chesapeake area course under Joes guideance.  Heritage Shores is offering a Premier Club for an Initiation Fee of $150 dollars which includes Complimentary Driving Range Balls, Complimentary Round Upon Sign Up, Reduced Green Fees and A Lot More.  Contact Joe at www.heritageshoresgolf.com and tell them the Commissioner sent you from Chesapeakegolfandleasure.com.  The greens were in beautiful condition and challenged many of us with 3 and 4 putts (author had one 5 putt from another zip code on the 7th)  Welcome back warm weather Lawrence, Jerry and Bob, we hope you continue to join us and contribute to the skins, scats and calloway.  Cat Fish claims to be on a fixed income and is looking for a new source of revenue). Dale had a great round along with Dom, Flat Head, Keith and the COMMISSIONER!!!  The author finally won a round (must have been the nines on the ninth and twelfth holes) Scores: Dom 91, Author 107, Cat Fish 103, Jerry 103, Lawrence 110, Bob 108, Dale 93 Wow, Commissioner 98 Wow, Rob 115, Flat Head 90 Wow, and It a Beautiful thing 94 also Wow. We won't talk about the third nine.

Tips:

Aim for the trees, you will never hit them.

Putting Stroke - One inch back equals 1 foot forward - Flat Head

Expensive golf balls have a built in attraction to water, use the cheap ones - Tom

Low compression balls work great in the cold weather and are much less expensive.

Its a beautiful thing:  R7 driver head shattered during cold weather test. New Flash - Golf Galaxy has offer to replace the club and shaft for free.  Go Golf Galaxy golfgalaxy.com!!!
